The Düsseldorf Area Head of The Church of Pentecost in Germany, Apostle Osahene Amankwatia Boateng has advised Ministers, officers and workers of the Church to remain steadfast and not give up in their call to ministry and various offices regardless of the circumstances that may come their way.
“Even though it was through someone that you became a leader of the Church, know that it is from God, and so do not throw in the towel when you are faced with difficulties because he who has called you is faithful” he added.
Apostle Osahene said this on Saturday, 13th April, 2024 during the 2024 National Apostolisation of The Church of Pentecost Germany held at the Düsseldorf Central Assembly Auditorium.
Speaking on the theme: The Unleashed Minister and Presbytery Relationship to Transform their World, the Düsseldorf Area Head stressed that, the appointment of Ministers and Presbyters (Elders, Deacons and Deaconesses) is the sole responsibility of God by men through the Holy Spirit to be co-workers with God.
In his sermon, he said, there are church leaders who start very well, but along the line when they are overwhelmed by the work, they give up.
Quoting from John 17:22, Apostle Osahene explained that God sent his son Jesus Christ and gave him his own glory, so anyone who is called and sent by God is covered by his Glory. “The purpose of God giving his Glory to us is that, we may be one. It is not to show off or to do whatever we want, but this Glory given to us by God must bring all men in his vineyard together” He emphasised.
Addressing one of the mistakes some Church leaders usually do which eventually become a reason to give up, the Düsseldorf Area Head used Moses as a case study. To further explain his point, he stated that, God through Jethro the father in law of Moses advised him to delegate some of his responsibilities and the authority God has given to him to others because it was not good for him to do the work alone.
He underscored that, it is impossible for church leaders to do the work alone, because one could be over burdened along the line due to how difficult the work could be. “I am here to tell you that, it is not good to do the work alone. Don’t say that you have the charisma so you can do it all alone” he cautioned.
Apostle Osahene however noted that, in delegating responsibilities to others, the right people must be chosen and must be taught what their duties are, so that they can work effectively. “When you select them, let them know how they should lead their lives because workers in God’s vineyard can not live their lives anyhow” he said.
He further advised leaders of the church not to do the work of God anyhow, but must be obedient to the word of God and not live their lives anyhow.
