COP GERMANY HOLDS 2025 NATIONAL COUNCIL MEETINGS.

Under the Leadership of Apostle, Daniel Ato Eduah, the Church of Pentecost Germany held its National Council Meetings in Hamburg from the 21st February to 22nd February, 2025.

The National Council meeting is an annual meeting of the Church to review the past year, render accounts of the church’s stewardship, as well as discuss various issues concerning the church’s future, especially for the ensuing year.

The meeting which was held under the theme, “Unleashed to live a life worthy of your calling” was attended by accredited councillors of the church, comprising, National Executive Members, Ministers and Wives, National Ministry Leaders, and Assistants, Area Executive Committee Members, Area Ministry Leaders and Assistants, District Ministry Leaders and Assistants, and Presiding Elders.

Speaking on the Topic “ Because of Me”, during the opening session on Friday, 21st February, Apostle Michael Acquaah, the Stuttgart Area Head, highlighted on the life of the Apostle Paul prior to his encounter with God and conversion.

He encouraged councillors and participants to be more involved in the activities of the church and also not be people who will be behind the scene to discourage those working hard.

Apostle Acquaah emphasised that, The church belongs to God so whatever one does against the church, he or she does it against God. “When you speak good things about the church, it is like saying good things about Jesus. “ he stressed.

Delivering the State of the Church Address, the National Head, Apostle Daniel Ato Eduah welcomed all councillors to the meeting, and also conveyed the greetings of the Chairman of the Church, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, the General Secretary, Apostle Samuel Gyau Obuobi, and the International Missions Director, Apostle Emmanuel Agyemang Bekoe to the participants.

He further thanked God for seeing the church through another year and also expressed his appreciation on behalf of the National Executive to Ministers and their wives, all Presiding Elders, Officers, and the entire membership of the Church of Pentecost Germany for their invaluable contributions and being instrumental in advancing God’s Kingdom as well as the Possessing the Nations Agenda.

Key Highlights from the State of the Church Address delivered by the National Head, were current membership of the church of Pentecost Germany which stood at 10,176 at the end of December, 2024, with 19 Districts, three Areas, and 108 local assemblies to the Glory of God.

During the State of the church address, Apostle Eduah also indicated that, at the end of December, 2024, the total number of officers stood at 996 comprising 353 Elders, 198 Deacons and 445 Deaconesses, souls won were 485, Holy Spirit Baptism were 184 as well as water baptism, Children Dedicated were 173, backsliders won back were 237, with 8 assemblies opened.

During the Meetings, the National Deacon, Elder Yaw Poku Bota whose term came to an end after 17years of meritorious service was duly appreciated as well as Deaconess Felicia Darko Sakyi who served as the National Women’s Ministry Leader for eight years.

Two gallant Ministers who are due to retire this year were also acknowledged with a standing ovation. The ministers are, Apostle Osahene Amankwatia Boateng, the Area Head of Düsseldorf who has served for 25years in Full time Ministry and Pastor Isaac Asare Damptey, the District Minister of Hamburg North, who has also served for 21years.

Elder Nana Kojo Peprah, of Mannheim District and also the Area Deacon for Stuttgart was elected as the new National Deacon, Deaconess Vivian Anokye of Stuttgart District and also the Women’s Ministry Leader for Stuttgart Area was appointed as the National Women’s Ministry Leader. Other Ministry leaders and their executive were also reviewed.
